Continuing their trend of using fresh faces, The SF Giants purchased Emmanual Burrriss' (SJ Giants, 2007) contract today from the Fresno Grizzlies. Burriss is expected to spell Brian Bocock (SJ Giants, 2007), who has played all but one of the big Giants defensive innings this season.
Burriss has shaken off the problems at the plate that he showed in San Jose and has a .258 average in Fresno with six runs scored and six RBI.
