Ready To Go: "Repeating high Class A, Pablo Sandoval is simply dominating California League pitching." (Via Baseball America.) Andy Baggarly provides a nice little write up of Pablo for Baseball America (requires subscription). Apparently the plan was to keep Pablo in San Jose for at least the first half. But the following quote points out the Giants dilemma:
"But he's hitting so well, we may not be able to keep him there," director of player personnel Bobby Evans said. "He wants to hit everything and he usually can because he gets such good plate coverage. He can hit to all fields, and he's a switch-hitter too."
Hopefully, Pablo can stay around long enough to make it to the Cal-Carolina League All-Star Game. Because he deserves to go.
