Matt Thornton
Since the summer of 2001, Matt has been a fixture at Municipal Stadium.  During that time, he has seen San Jose win three Cal League Championships.  He usually takes in 50 to 60 plus games a  season including a few road trips.  For a span of three seasons (2002 to 2004), he missed fewer than 10 total home games.  (The baseball team played a total of 210 home games during that time which means Matt made at least 200 baseball games!)  During his time as a graduate student, Matt was known to persuade professors to schedule their exams around the baseball schedule.  (Can we say 'Baseball Addict'?!)  While his love of the game is mainly focused in San Jose, he has made a few trips to watch (and take photos of) that big league club in San Francisco.  And, on very rare occassions, he has been known to attend the random game for that other Bay Area big league club.  Matt shoots a Pentax *ist D with a Tamron 70-300mm lens.  More Photos

Tom Clifton
Tom has been coming to SJ Giants games since 1999. He bought season tickets in 2004 and started shooting the Giants in 2005. After 20 years of shooting landscapes throughout the West, he enjoys the challenges of shooting baseball. For the SJ Giants shots, Tom uses a Canon 20D with a Canon 70-300 IS lens (that he is still trying to figure out). He has been known to drool when he gets his hands on a big prime lens.
