The San Jose Giants season ended with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning on Wednesday night. If you have to lose, it's the best way to do it, I guess.
So this probably isn't the best time to start up a fan site. But I hadn't really thought about it during the season and it just seemed like a good idea yesterday. It still seems like a good idea, today.
During the season, there is team and fan news that doesn't make it on to the team website or into the Mercury News. Maybe this site can help.
Don't worry about the look of the site, it will get spruced up and the colors will change. And hopefully Matt can provide some photos. And maybe Jeff will post his video.
In the meantime, you can read my editorial on neighborhood baseball in the September issue of the CCA Advisor and come out to Bark in the Park at William Street Park (16th and William), where a number of San Jose Giants fans will be present.
